Finally

Well I finally managed to tell my mum! About time!
It took me so long because I don't live near my parents and they came up to mine and my OH's house for a visit.
I wanted to tell her on the first day she came, but I wasn't brave enough, my mum is quite strict and I was terrified!
So I told her today, just before she left, she didn't take it too well, but better than I thought, I suppose ...
My dad doesn't know yet because it's a 4 hour drive to where they live and my mum said she'd wait til they got in to tell him.
I hope she comes around to the idea, cos she was a bit cold to me and my OH as she was leaving, but at least she didn't shout.
So I'm going to make an appointment with the financial services in my university tomorrow and see what help I can get and to see if they can help me apply for as much financial help as possible, because as my mum said, I'm going to struggle living in my house paying bills, mortgage and being a student.
I can only try my best ...
So now my worry is how the rest of my family will take it, I'm assuming my mum will tell them and the next challenge is telling my OH's parents ... the fun never ends

Good on you for getting it over n done with lool, trust me theres never as many people to tell as it seems as many will tell each other.

With my family n oh's family we just told the important people n the gossips lol within 48 hrs everyone knew hehe, saved so much time n ment i didnt get all the unwanted advice.

Telling her was the best thing to do sorry she seemed to be quite cold about it though, i'm sure she'll come round to the idea soon enough xx

welldone, that seriously is one of the scariest parts over and done with!
I'm sure she'll come round once you get your lil bump, find out the sex etc etc. She wont be able to help but remember being pregnant with her first baby and all the excitement and happiness that comes with it.
Your lucky tho, my parents refused to tell anyone else in the family, they said it was my job to do so i had to tell everyone in the family! I still haven't got round to my step nan and bubs will be here in four mnths!!!
