Financial help for setting up mobile business??

just wondered if anyone could help me really.

I've always wanted to do nails, spray tans etc but don't really want to go down the NVQ route as it takes ages and I need to start asap.

I was going to do seperate courses but at £200 or so its an expense I don't have at the min (plus equipment etc)

I was wondering if anyone knew of any help I may be able to get?? Ie small business loans or grants??

Might be worth talking to your local Business Link centre (if you have one) as they will be able to advise of any local grants/loans you could apply for.

Thanks hun. I'm 26 so wouldn't qualify for Princes Trust. I'll look into the business link, thank you

Have a look at business link website hun. They run free "start your own business" workshops. I went on a few earlier on in the year as I wanted to start my own business (still do) and found them very helpful. Also, if you give them a call the advisers on the end of the line are VERY helpful. I actually found the website confusing but the advisers were brilliant.

In answer to your question about funding - there are a few local grants about but the chance of getting them are horrendously slim. Banks wont even consider putting up funding without you having the majority of the capital already. Otherwise there are websites where you can post your business plan and investors can see it and decide if they want to invest (kind of like an online Dragons Den). The reason my business plan hasn't moved forward is because of lack of funding.
