First AF Question

OMG... I now understand what you girls are talking about with your first AF after baby. Its awful! I guess I took for granted the year that I didnt have it. I have to use a tampon and a pad to make sure I dont end up leaking onto my clothes!!! Its awful! But.. I was wondering about how long did your first AF last? Normally mine was like 5 days. The 2nd and 3rd always the worst. I'm wondering if this is gonna be the normal length of mine, or if its gonna go for longer? My period has never been like this. Sorry for TMI, but normally I use light tampons, and occasionally have to use a regular. Today I had to use super!

I dont know how I dealt with the postpartum bleeding. I guess I was just so caught up with being a new mommy that nothing fazed me.

Mine was 4 days I think, and thats what it was like before. Mine was also very heavy.

I'm on day three and luckily it hasn't been heavy but the cramps have been horrible and I don't know what medications I'm allowed to take when breastfeeding.

You know whats funny, I think I saw your post about getting AF and was gonna say something about how I still haven't gotten mine. I didn't do it right away, and went to the bathroom and was spotting! I've been having pains where I think my ovaries are, but its not like cramps. Its weird.

O, also, I think you can take regular like Motrin while you are breastfeeding. Thats what I took for pain relief for my c-section, and they said it was ok while breastfeeding. I'm not sure about like Midol or Tylenol for Women. Thats what I used to take, but I obviously hadn't needed it for quite a while.

Then Midol it is, I'm on day four but it's still pretty light so hopefully this is the last day for me.

Yea, still not exclusively tho. I'm so frustrated with myself that I cant just do BF'ing!
