First AI done! Smiley face came 2 weeks early!

Well what a weekend eh! H was only supposed to ovulate week beginning 22nd July and we had already informed our donor.

Then Thursday night a big smiley face on the ovulation stick!!!! Argh!!!!! We were not even ready as this is 14 days early. So we thought it must be a faulty one we'll test again in the morning.
Morning arrives and again smiley! So I text our donor who was excited lol and we headed to his that night. OMG how nervous was I. All I kept thinking was would I do it correctly, then I thought eeeee about the whole sperm bit I haven't seen that stuff in 10 years!

Once we had the donation I put it in my bra to keep it warm and dark - is that right? It went liquidy after about 10 mins of being in there.

when I get a moment. We also inseminated on Saturday as well he came to our house this time which was so lovely of him as its an hour each way!

Just hope we did it at the right time, I think we did H had ovulation pains evening of the first go and after. So since we got the smiley 8pm Thursday and did the ai at 9pm Friday and 4pm Saturday I think we are ok. We used softcups to keep it all in. On removing them there was nothing in them and on the first go we had 6ml! So I am happy it all went where it was suppose to be!

Now we wait, we are going to forget about it and just chill and see what happens. It's not hit me yet that we have done the first go! My brain still thinks its in a week lol!

Could stress last month have made her O on day 26 and the cycle 41 days? I went in to hospital and she was upset etc. Can stress change the cycle like that?

Please keep me updated, i love happy stories, hope it works out for you two, myself and partner are also going to start AI also at home, I am from South Africa ,Cape town, I need to find the most suitable way to do it too, any suggestions on what you felt comfortable with? As this will be our first time trying at home, as we had done it at the clinic before...

Mine came a week early too.

June month didnt work and i came on on the 30th, was gutted but flew out on holiday that day.
Came back the following saturday and wasnt due to get my smiley for a week, felt a few cramps so tested randomly and there was the face.
Thats the month we caught :O)

Cool!!! Congrats :0) wish we were expecting too. This month we were certain so I bought the clear blue digital with conception indicator - tested " Not Pregnant" omg devastated doesn't describe it. Loads of symptoms too. With two words your world is destroyed.
Donor even text to ask had we tested and how we were. Bless him

I said bfn and that we were gutted he said don't worry we just keep trying! He is such a good guy. X

Oh no, sorry about that, how early did you test? we got a BFN the day before i was due on, got a faint BFP on the day i was due on.

Try not to symptom spot, even though its so hard, as they are soooo similar to PMS, the month i ignored all symptoms and thought 'its pms' were actually early pregnancy symptoms.

Every month we were convinced and were so gutted when we wasnt.

It will happen, we still cant belive it x
