Well I just picked up my first Beta results! I had them drawn yesterday at 16dpo. The result was 528!!!!! Does this seem HIGH to anybody else??! I had a second draw today (exactly 24 hours after the 1st) and I have my third draw thursday afternoon, 48 hours from now.

From the charts i am seeing a range of 33-222 for a single baby is the normal with the "average' being 95 at 16dpo. Mine were 528!

Think it could be twins? LOL

I know! I am wishing time would hurry up so I can call this evening for todays results. They rushed them and should be in right before closing time. I can't wait to see what they did in 24 hours :)

Now I know why when I took my last FRER last night, it started to turn positive at the 4 second mark LOL

It's hard to say. You can't just rely on betas to determine multiples but that is high. I'm pregnant with twin girls and here were my betas:

11DPO 15
13DPO 70
23DPO 5500

Im having one and my betas were 12 dpo - 86 and 14 dpo 249 so would have been close to yours on 16 dpo. Are you hoping for twins or just curious about your #'s?

great beta resault!!....super high i think!! :winkwink: do u think i've guessed right?

:happydance:congratulations!either way!!:happydance:

when are you having your first ultrasound?

My first official dr. visits (not counting blood draws) is August 25th. I'm guessing I'll get one then. Unless my levels continue to climb high and be off the charts they will order one sooner.

i just found this interesting study pertaining to womens betas when they are 16dpo.

What your hCG numbers may indicate at 16dpo
Table 2 from this study
Taken from Table 2
Summary of Outcome by hCG levels

What this study found:

25 - 50 hCG at 16dpo -- Four women in this study had hCG levels below 50 at this stage. The researchers concluded that with these levels less than 25% would continue on with their pregnancy with more than 75% miscarrying.

50 - 100 hCG at 16dpo -- Of 16 women, 25% continued on with their pregnancies.

100 - 199 hCG at 16dpo -- Of 27 women with these levels, 73% continued on with their pregnancies.

200 - 299 hCG at 16dpo -- Of 48 women, 96% continued on with their pregnancies

Over 300 hCG -- All 105 women continued on with their pregnancies.

I wonder how valid and accurate the information is. Has anybody ever heard these stats before?

Hey hun,

Congrats on the nice hCG lecels! Mine was 831 at 15 DPO, and the scan at 8w showed there is only one bean in there :)

My doctor gave me the reliable hCG ranges for a singleton pregnancy, and they are as follows:

From Conception - From LMP - HCG Level
7 days 3 weeks 0 to 5
14 days 28 days 3 to 426
21 days 35 days 18 to 7,340
28 days 42 days 1080 to 56,500
35 - 42 days 49 - 56 days 7,650 to 229,000
43 - 64 days 57 - 78 days 25,700 to 288,000
57 - 78 days 79 - 100 days 13,300 to 253,000
17 - 24 weeks 2nd trimester 4060 to 65,400
25 wks to term 3rd trimester 3640 to 117,000
After several days postpartum nonpregnant levels (<5)"

One other thing, having a high hCG is always a good sign, so enjoy!

Cheers,
Amy.
