Soooo Happy Ive waited a Month to meet my midwife
and
yesterday at half 3 i did and it went really well, had bloods took etc and we listened for heartbeat she said we might not here it as im only 11 weeks but straight away there it was 160 average beats per min...
wow was so happy but what made me smile most was a funny noise which the midwife said 'that could well be your LO headbutting or kicking the machine' lol was so sweet....

Had to share this with you all as im on cloud 9 at the moment... just need to take in more iron as im a bit low any easy ways of getting more iron into me system??...

P.s hope ure all well... :)

glad everything is going well. can't wait to hear bumps HB again. xx

One of my teachers in college was a midwife once and she got a doppler machine thingy she is always trying to pounce on me lol... i dont mind but not with a classroom audience lmao...

apparently my midwife told me Old wifes tale --> if heartbeat sounds like train chuggin it a boy n if it sounds like horse galloping it a girl lol ive never heard that b4.... mine was chugging apparently lol i was to in ore to concentrate on that... :)

Awww thats lovely! Its amazing hearing the heartbeart isnt it?

Deffinutly is... think it could put me to sleep... i wasnt expecting to hear it tbh but i did woop lol...

ooo u got 3 days to go.... ahh good luck :)

:hugs: I'm glad it went well and you're happy with your midwife.

My LO was kicking the doppler off at my last appointment too.

My ticker needs updating Teri...........my little man is here!!!!

oh lol oops sorry... congratulations hehe

got little kickers then hehe

Hearing the heartbeat of your LO is so amazing! So happy that you got to experience it, and very quickly too I might add. :hugs:

My doctor couldn't locate my LO heartbeat 3 weeks ago. I've bought a doppler and tried it twice but have put it away for now as I just get frustrated with it. My next doctor appointment is on the 18th so I am waiting until then for the doctor to find the heartbeat and put my mind at ease :)

Hope all goes well leanne... the midwife sed i mite not hear it if LO was on their side or swimming to much lmao... i hope u get to hear ures soon.. :)

Thank you! :hugs:

It's been a long 14 weeks so far and not hearing the heartbeat and my first scan scheduled next month (April 15th) doesn't help. However, I have booked a private 3d scan on March 20th because the waiting is driving me crazy :)

I think liver and certain red meats give u iron!?
There will be vitamins out there tho!?
xx

Guna have to get some vitamins i think lol... im not a liver person and i think ure to avoid it aint we? ... ive never been good on my iron levels but nows the time i should up them a bit... :)

good luck at your scans leeanne... waiting game sucks lol

I think liver has too much of other vitamins you need to avoid.

Dark green veg is good for iron and folic acid too.

The quick and easy way is iron tablets tho :winkwink:

Oh congrats Teri.

Check out Grapenuts ceral. I noticed the other day that 1/2 c has 90% of your daily iron. Plus it has fiber, so there is less of a chance of constipation.

Liver has too much vitamin A. They strongly recommend avoiding it completely :)

Oh good...I hate liver!!! yakatiyak!!!

When they tested my iron when carrying DD they said I had too much iron! At the time I thought, 'well I don't know how that has happened, I hate liver'...how mad am I?...I have 'blonde' moments!!! U will get used to me!!!!xx

Glad your appointment went well! It's great that they were able to hear the heartbeat that early!!
