First response tests

I have just taken a first response pregnancy test 4 days before my period is due and it was a definate negative 😞 is there still a chance i could be pregnant even though the tests claim to detect pregnancy 6 days before a missed period? Has anyone else had a false negative with these tests? Any replies are very appriciated, thanks!

Yes there is definitely a chance that you are pregnant. You'll see on the side of the box that the accuracy of the test increases the closer you get to your missed period. I would wait until you miss your period, then try again. If you can make it a few days after that, you have a better chance of getting an accurate result. Some women also just don't make enough HCG to be read that early.
