Hey ladies,

I'm not on here much, but I needed an outlet. We've been TTC for 2 years, 1 yr since a PCOS diagnosis. Insurance won't cover anything so we had to save. WE finally saved enough for a few cycles, so we started IUI last Monday on CD3. I had my second Gonal-f shot last night and I go back for more blood work and an ultra sound on Tuesday CD11. We're did femara cd3-7, and will be adding a trigger shot and progesterone cream following the actual insemination. DH last SA was great so FX. I'm nervouse and excited at the same time.

Have any ladies done IUI?

My wife is currently pregnant with our second son with help of IUI. Cramping is good early sign to look for. Good luck.

I only get pg with IUI, I have had 4 of them. You could also look at aspirin because that is what is keeping me PG.

Hi n.miller

Yep, I've done 4 IUIs, all with Puregon injections (first 50 IU, then 66 IU and the last 2 were with 75 IU) and Ovitrelle to induce O (no progesterone as they felt I didn't need it, we're unexplained infertility)although none have worked so far and we're on a forced break this month due to my 20-25 mm cyst in the ovary I Oed from for IUI #4. Planning on doing IUI #5 next cycle. We've been NTNP this cycle and I'm CD13 today, I think:winkwink:

Hi n.Miller!

Your medications sound just like mine.
I just had IUI #1 which was a BFN with Femara only.
Now doing Gonal F and Femara for round #2!
I am excited to hear how yours goes!

Hi! Yes, I had my first (and hopefully last) IUI yesterday. I'm trying to relax and put it out of my mind but this is going to be the longest tww ever! I took Clomid days 3-7 and triggered on CD12. I ended up having 2 good follicles 22 and 24. I've been feeling really positive this cycle but started feeling worried and anxious this afternoon.

Hey hun, just want to wish you luck.
We have just completed our fourth IUI with the same drugs you are on. My hubbys SA is all over the place but today was our best one so far. My suggestion is make sure he drinks lots of water the days leading up to it and just relax. the Two week wait if you can believe it is the worst out of all of it, the drugs are coming out of your system and will be giving you tons of symptoms that relate to being pregnant, mainly because the hormones are the ones that happen naturally when you are pregnant. Just keep your fingers crossed and try to find an activity to keep your mind busy for the next two weeks.
Good luck!

Hey ladies, I know this is a slightly older post but how did your IUI's go this cycle?

BFN Round 1 for me... I had IUI # 2, 9 days ago, scared to test to see a BFN!!! FX this is the month, however my gut tells me its not.

I see you did gonal f, what dose were you on and what days did you take it.

Next cycle I am dong IUI#1 and the protocol is Gonal F starting day 2/3 (I didn't respond to Femara).

FX this is your BFP cycle

Hi n.miller! I'm on my first IUI cycle as well, had it done 9 days ago so I'm in the 2WW.

We did preconception blood work, ultrasound, and Femara on CD3. I took Femara for 5 days and had 1 dominant follicle on the left and a couple of smaller ones (~15.5mm 2 days before IUI). The dominant follicle was 18.5 so I know I at least had one, but maybe up to 3 if the others caught up before ovulation. I took a hCG trigger shot to induce ovulation...not because I really needed it but because they wanted to know the exact timing so that IUI has a higher chance of success. Had the IUI the next morning. 3 days after IUI I started progesterone injections and am still taking them daily. I have a beta hCG test next Wednesday.

I don't have any symptoms though...so my gut feeling is that it's BFN. Might still be too early though...

Good luck with your first IUI!! I hope it works for you!

Hi hopingdream - Cycle 1 & 2 I had 5mg Femara CD3- CD7. Cycle 1 I had 3 follies, and Cycle 2 I have 2 follies. The bumped me up to the smallest does of gonal F for cycle 3. So for Cycle #3 I continued my Femara like the previous months, then I did Gonal F twice, I think CD 5 and CD 7, then I was supposed to do one more on CD 10, but at my US I had 7-8 mature follicles so I didnt take my third shot. My dosage of gonal F was 75.

Hi Ladies,

adidrea - FX and good luck I hope your beta comes back positive on Wednesday, let us know :)

momofadane - 7 follicles whah, what sizes were they. I am starting on 50iu, I'm hoping it will work and I get a least one mature follicle.

I don't know the exact sizes, they told me but can't remember. 7 follicles were above 17mm and above 3 days before IUI, and there was one 15mm which they said probably wouldn't be mature enough, but couldn't rule it out.

adidrea - sounds promising, can't wait to hear your results wednesday :)

Mmmmm my gut feeling tells me I'm out this cycle. I took a test this morning and also BFN...according to the online description of the test it can detect 20 mIU/hCG. As I'm only a day before my beta it seems like it should be at least that high by now.

Trying to keep my hopes up but....:nope:

I'm sorry, its so hard to not test :) I hope your HCG beta shows something and it just needs to build :dust:
