First Scan Today

Well, they found the sac and yolk, but no heartbeat. I go back in two days for a beta text part two and back in two weeks for a follow up ultrasound. Fingers crossed and praying hard for a miracle.

How far along are you?

By lmp 6 weeks 4 days. However n I don't have a normal 28 day cycle and I tend to ovulate on the later side.For example, with dd, at 8 weeks lmp she measured 6 weeks 5 days. My OB is hopeful that this is the same scenario and that baby is just too small to see a heartbeat on. Hence the hcg tests and second two week wait for another scan.

Will do. I should at least know the hcg levels and whether they're going up or down by the weekend. And, on a cautiously hopeful note, the picture of my sonogram looks like a 5 week scan. And if I just ovulated a week later than expected...

It's looking even more hopeful. Lab numbers came back doubled and the OB called it promising. The nurse called it good news. Now we're just waiting on the scan on the 19th to confirm that this LO is just a little less baked than my lmp suggested.
