First time Clomid user! Any advice?

Hi all! I just started my very first dose of Clomid 100mg 3 nights ago. My husband and I have been ttc for about 4 years now and I'm now 35 and really starting to panic. Lol. So, I thought I should move on to the next step. We have been placed under the "unexplained infertility" category. Fx'd this will be the ticket!

I would love to hear some stories of anyone that has conceived while on Clomid. How many rounds? Strength of Clomid? How long ttc? Any female or male issues?

Well I'm 36 and somewhat in the same boat as you! July was my 1st month on Clomid 100mg. I did ovulate but no BFP . I had to hold off on a round last month due to some abnormal genetic bw results. I found out I am a silent carrier of anemia. My husband was tested and he is not a carrier so we were given the ok to proceed again if no BFP this month In the past I was able to get pregnant on my own but pregnancies ended in mc's.
I have pcos and rarely ovulate on my own. We have been ttc off/on for years but I wasn't this committed in the past. I thought the doctors didn't know what they were talking about and it would happen. We don't have any male factors, basically it's all me. There are plenty of women who conceive using clomid, some right away or it takes a couple of rounds. Do you see a gyn or RE? Have had a HSG to check for blockage? Do you use opk, bbt temp/charting?

I recently started checking my bbt and charting on fertility friend. It's taking some time getting use to but it helps me confirm ovulation. Along with the cd21 bw.

Good luck girls, me and my husband have been ttc for 3 years. Chlomid is a roller coaster, be kind to yourself and keep loving each other. I got pregnant on cycle 4 of 50mg chlomid but ended in mc at 8 weeks. I am on my second cycle since the mc in April and in my ttw.

On a positive my friend got pregnant on her second cycle of chlomid (after ovarian drilling) and gave birth last week to twin boys

Hi all!

I definitely don't have any advice as I haven't even started my first round yet but I'm looking for some as well! I'm supposed to start 50mg after AF arrives. We've been TTC for 17months with unexplained infertility as well. I used to temp but now I just use OPKs. I might start temping again on clomid just to make sure but I'm also getting day 21 blood work so that will tell me whether I o'd or not right? Good luck to everyone!! Hoping this drug does the trick for us

Hey Buttercup..I have a RE that is monitoring me. I did a hsg back in 2012 and all is well. I use opk's and have been temping for the past 4 months and ovulate regularly. There are no male issues. Hopefully this will be the month!! Good luck to you too!
