Ahhhhh, ladies, please help me, Im getting in a right old muddle :dohh:

Baby is due in March so I am guessing its still going to be preeeetty chilly here in the UK. Just talking about essentials - I know lots of people advise to just buy body suits for the early weeks/months (to go under sleep suits or outfits etc) but which ones??

- Long sleeved body suit
- Short sleeved body suit
- Sleeveless body suit

???????

Im wondering the same myself, I really have no clue, hopefully someone can help us though :)

I would go for a mixture of long and short sleeves ones !! Will probably still be cold some days and maybe not so bad others. That's what I'm going to do anyway with an April baby.

xx

My personal preference is short sleeved body suits. I like to layer up, so bodysuit, top, cardi, coat (if neccessary), blankey (if neccessary) etc. Then it's easy enough to peel off a layer if they're too hot. Everyone has different preferences and there is no right or wrong. I have a few long sleeved ones for wearing with dungarees etc. I say go for a mix and then you'll be covered for whatever you prefer :)

Honestly, I think it all depends on your preference, and what works for your individual baby, I'm afraid. My son was born in November last year, and about all I dressed him in for a couple of months were those "sleep and play" type footed one piece outfits without any body suits underneath. My son hated having anything put over his head, so we went with only things that buttoned up. The footed outfits worked great as it was chilly and those baby socks never stayed on his tiny feet.
