Help! So worried...for her first four weeks my LO was breastfed with formula supp. here and there. This week I've weaned her off the breast because (due to unforeseen circumstances) I have to return to work Tues.

She won't take morethan two ounces every four hours!!! SHe acts satisfied but I know this is nowhere near enough food for her age and weight (10lb 2oz at her four week checkup)

What do I do????

My son is 14lbs & about to turn 3 months - and some days he will only take 2oz at a time. As long as she has enough wet nappies & seems satisfied, she is getting enough :) Some babies just have smaller appetities than others!

Thanks for the reassurance :hugs:...and truly this is what my gut was telling me. But I'm just so afraid that at her next checkup her weight will have plateaued and her doctor will ask about her intake and then tell me she's not getting enough. She does have several wet diapers a day and since going on the bottle full time has had at least one, sometimes two bowel movements.

I'm a natural worrier though...

I know how that is! I'm a complete worry wart!

I was told that as long as a baby seems satisfied after each feeding, they will gain weight - also remember that other babies gain weight quicker than others. There are days my son barely eats, but he gains weight super fast.

You are doing great Mama :flower:
