My daughter is booked in this afternoon to have the Nasal Flu Spray Vaccine. However as she was born premature and they say those with a weakened immune system shouldnt have it I'm so unsure as to whether she should get the spray? Are their immune systems still weakened at 3? Or would it be good for her to have it to protect her? Any advice?

If they have a weakened immune system they should have the jag over the spray. However if there are no issues these days with breathing etc then it doesnt sound like they consider it. They wouldnt consider our 4 year old.

My LO is 8 months and was preemie, but I don't consider him premature anymore as far as that stuff is concerned. I only would until he reached his due date or maybe 12 weeks adj. that being said, I don't get flu shots for LO...

My daughter had the nasal vaccine this year which is much nicer than the jag which she has had every winter before. I spoke to the doctor and she said there wasn't much difference between jag and nasal so went with that.
