Hi, i know there's other threads about flying, i've got loads of advice of them - thanks! However, i'm wondering if anyone could give me any specific advice on taking my icandy cherry. We're using the push chair section at the moment. The thing is, the chassis folds down pretty small, but the seat bit doesn't fold at all, so it will be in two fairly big pieces. Do you think they'll take it on board at the gate, or do you think we'll have to check it in beforehand as it's not a small lightweight stroller? Would appreciate any thoughts or others' experiences with similar pushchairs/travel systems. Thanks x

Would you be happy if it got scratched or damaged?
I bought a really really cheap puschair to use on holidays and holidays only.

My oh works at an airport and his best mate is a baggage handler and given what they've seen I'd never contemplate taking the icandy! Get something thats cheap that you don't mond getting scrached. We got an M&P pipi from argos for £40.

iv got the icandy cherry, but when i go to turkey in oct im taking a lightweight cheapy thing. £25 from asda ;)

Ooh I've got the same dilema, but with my Quinny buzz. We're going back to the UK soon, but LO will only be 4 months & don't fancy the idea of him being in a buggy that soon. We too will only be taking the pushchair part, but it'll also be in 2 pieces, so sorry for jumping on your thread, but I'd like to nosey to any answers too.

I have flown back to Ireland with my i-candy cherry twice and there hasn't been as much as a scratch on it. I flew with Aer Lingus and we were allowed to take it to the plane and take it apart at the steps. Then you either collect it at the steps on the way out or at the carousel.

I have bought a lightweight buggy now because Max is in his buggy and I want to start taking him back to Ireland on my own. When he was young enough for the carrycot I wouldn't have used a buggy as I thought he looked more comfy in the carrycot but this was when he was a younger baby!
