Has anyone been on a flight recently?

Just wondering what happens with the milk/bottles etc?
Also with the pushchair?
Any general advice would be appreciated!

We're going to Spain so the flight isn't long haul or anything. I think Jake will be nearing to 4 months old too.. so fingers crossed he's in a little bit more of a routine then. :)

you can take bottles on board and pushchair you can keep until you board then just leave it by the stairs as you go on the plane. Pretty sure easyjet do priority boarding too if you have a young child. Make the most of that!! you get a little seat belt that slips onto yours to put around babes! try and give them a feed as you are taking off and landing to help with ears popping. you will prob find that lo will sleep the whole flight!! hope that helps x

you will probably have to taste the milk in the bottles at security but other than that shouldnt have a problem taking them onboard with you and as the PP said they normally will let you keep the pushchair till boarding then put it in the hold for you,

I flew easyjet in July with my LO; she was 8 weeks old.

They let me take all the bottles and powder I wanted, but refused to let me take the boiled water through, even though I offered to taste it. I just went straight to a cafe and asked them to fill up all my bottles with boiling water as soon as I got into departures. That way, it was cool enough to use as soon as we boarded the plane.

You can take the pushchair right to the plane, and you can fold it up and leave it right outside. I would recommend taking a carrier to hold LO on the other side, when you're waiting for the luggage to be returned, because you will get your buggy at the same time.

They don't charge you for the pushchair; they let you take 2 baby items free of charge (out of a list), so we took the buggy and car seat.

i flew yesterday with easyjet and they were fine with taking boiled water through, just had to taste a bit, prob depends on airport maybe..

My OH flew with Mog to Hong Kong when she was 7 months old - he bought cartons of formula after security, in the Boots in the departure bit. We'll probably do the same thing when we fly at the end of this month. you push the buggy up to the steps/airplane door and then they fold it up and chuck it in the hold. We bought a £20 buggy from Argos so that if it got trashed, it wouldn't matter so much.

I used to be cabin crew before having Lola, not for easy jet, but as far as i know they will heat your bottles in some boiling water when you need.

Pushchair you will keep with you untill boarding and sometimes you will get it back on the tarmac as soon as you get off the plane. I'd take a cheap buggy as they do get thrown about alot.
