follies releasing w/o growing??

ladies, im really stumped on this one, and in need of some opinions from women who have been at this longer.

I had an ultrasound at the begining of my cycle when i was on AF, my follies were 0.5 and 0.7 - a week later i went back, virtually no growth (0.1) then i was perscribed clomid for 5 days. after 3 days of being on it, they had only grown to 0.7 and 0.8. i went back today and my follies are back to original size of 0.5 and 0.7!

they think that i may have ovulated (as my lining is thinner again). waiting to hear back on the blood work...
how (and why) could a follie that tiny release (due to clomid?) and there would be no chance for anything to happen because of the size....correct me if im wrong...

I had always thought that the egg had to be mature in order for it to be released even if you're on Clomid or take other fertility drugs. Are you seeing an OB/GYN or a specialist?

thanks for replying cali, it is a specialist that were seeing. he has the #1 success rate in canada. the bloodwork came back, levels are going up, and i didnt ovulate....so why would they be shrinking? ive never heard of such a thing...

Sounds like you're in good hands with that specialist! I'm really not sure but I would guess they naturally shrink if no egg is released.
