Follow On Milk Switch?

Hello there...LO was breastfed until 7 months and now he is having Aptamil First Milk. He is 9 months and I'm thinking about Follow On Milk (maybe cus thats the only stuff I can actually see in the shop at the moment! argh! stupid panic buyers!)

Have any of you switched? Did it cause an issue with your LO's tummy? Or should I just keep on giving him the First Milk?

I switched my lo to follow on milk at around 7 months and it made her ill so went straight back. They can have first milk until 12 months as its designed for it. Just my experience though, i know most children are fine on follow on milk. xx

Thanks, I know that they sell follow on milk so they can advertise themselves..... but there is no First Milk anywhere on he shelves at the moment and we are getting low. Worst feeling in the world thinking that we can't feed our baby because people were making a profit out of it selling it overseas!

I switched both mine over to follow on at 6 months. No issues at all, they even seemed to prefer it. Why not get a carton and try?

my Lo went from BM to 1st milk at 7 months. we changed his nighttime bottle to follow on at 10 months with no problems. If you're getting low and can't get any 1st milk maybe get a single box of follow on and do alternate bottles with this to eek out your 1st milk until you can get more?
