Hi Guys.. Ive never ventured into this section so Hellooooo all!
Right I have a question...Layla is breastfed all the time except for at about 7pm she has a bottle of formula before bed... So.. She's 6 Months on thursday and I've been thinking about switching her onto either a follow on milk or a C&G goodnight milk.. My reasons for this being that after her bottle (usually 9oz) I can really hear the milk swishing about in her tummy, and Im not sure if its the best thing for her to be going to bed with a swishy belly full of milk... Any ideas? x x x

I moved to follow on but still hear the swish. I tried hipp goodnight milk and imo it was too heavy for her as we has 3 bad nights while she was on it. I just went to follow on because of the extra iron in it as liss is a vegi. Have you started solids yet? I noticed I hear less swishing now as she dropped lots of milk when we stared solids. We went from 32 to 18-20oz now. she was on a 8 oz bottle at bed which is now 7 and less swish

Yeh we've started solids, but tbh she doesn't really eat an awful lot. Just a few spoons each mealtime really, although she is feeding less off me now we've started this. Will give the follow on milk a try then. Im not sure if they sell the C&G follow on milk in a small carton as it seems silly buying a big tub if it doesnt agree with her. Thanks for replying anyway! :D Didnt seem like anybody was going to lol!

I have no idea about follow on milk. Do we have to change at 6 months? Anyone know the difference? I had forgotten about it until I saw this thread.

I dont think you have to change, and if babys fine on 1st stage (or 2nd stage, whatever you use) then no need. I think it just contains more vitamins, iron and calcium.

although dont take my word for it because im really not so sure...

Yeah you dont have to the difference as far as I am aware is just more vits and iron, although I compared and biggest increase is the iron vits dont seem to be a HUGE increase. I just changed mainly for the iron as they should get it from their solids but because we are vegi I wanted to be extra covered.

We are veggie too. Well OH is so that makes me veggie by default. So i guess Ill change when I wean too.
