Ok, so my LO is 6 months old, and I have never left her alone with her father. We were never married and are not together, and he lives quite a ways away. He has seen her exactly once a month since she was born, for one weekend a month. He has never asked to be alone with her, as he stays at my place when he comes, and I certainly have never offered. I REALLY want to trust him with her, it'd be nice to grab a yoga class when he's in town but then I start to freak out. Please don't judge me here, I admit I have a trust issue when it comes to him. I just don't feel a handful of days of sleeping on my couch while I do all the work is enough to know how to care for a child. He has still never fed her, bathed her and put her to bed, since he doesn't choose to be very hands on with her when he's here...and whenever he holds her, he holds her like she is a hot potato or something, like 2 feet away from him with his arms stretched out :haha: Am I definitely being over worried here or have some of you never left your baby alone with FOB? I know I'll be fine once she can communicate, but I fear if I left them all I would do is cry and worry :nope:

introduce more responsibility for fob to take on

stand back and let him do the work

really really take a back seat and dont lift a finger and then u can see how LO copes without u and how fob copes

Sounds like they need a lot more time together before you allow that. My LO doesn't see her Dad without anyone there. He always has his parents there we all don't trust him and my LO is 3. Hes been there everyday since birth up until she was just under 2? Now once every week if he decides he can spare the time :growlmad:

Really depends on how you feel about it. Definitely give them more time or maybe get someone you trust to be there when you want to go out?
