How long after you had your sweep did you go into labor?

I have had a sweep with each of my 3 boys. They were all born 3 days after the sweep, every time. Hope that helps.

Sorry to butt in, but what do they actually do at a sweep? don't they stretch your cervix?

Membrane sweeping increases the likelihood that labor will start within 48 hours. It has a higher chance of working if the neck of your womb is already softening and preparing for labor. It does not increase the risk of infection to either you or your baby.

I had a sweep around 2.30pm and labour started around 11pm the same night. Hannah was born at 6.45pm the next day!

with my first, i had a sweep at 3pm on the thursday and my son was born at 5.18pm on the Friday - i did go into labour during thurdsay night xx
