I have known for awhile now that I will need to switch LO over from BM to formula (we are going on vacation in a couple months, so pumping would not be . I EP, so bottles aren't an issue, but I have given LO formula occasionally but he seems to get very constipated if he has too much of it. My first had the same problem on formula. How did you switch your LO over? Gradually? Did you have any problems?

I would start very very slowly then, if you know he has problems. Maybe start with a bottle of formula every other day. Then gradually increase it to 1 bottle of formula every day. So on and so forth. We've kinda been doing that, but it's more linked to my supply issues. She got 1 bottle of formula a day for 4ish months, and now we're on 2 bottles of formula a day. And so far no problems!

I am working on switching mine right now. She got about 100ml in the evening only for three days, now she gets a bottle in the morning too. All together 300 ml per day. She is on solids, so hard to say if there is a difference in her poo, but it doesn't seem to be causing a problem.
Also, she looooooves the formula we got from the first moment she tasted it. So maybe it is a good one taste-wise for BF babies? Now, if she sees me making a bottle she goes "hehehehe" till she gets it, or, if she is grumpy she cries if I am not fast enough! (It is Hipp brand. A bit expensive, but we are happy with it!)

Thanks for the responses. I am in the States, so I don't think we have that brand of formula, but little guy seems to like the formula we have given him. He is on solids too, so it could be that causing his problems.
