For those who have tried Femara after trying Clomid

....How successful has it been?
I have just ordered Femara from an online pharmacy (providing I actually receive it) and I am hoping to start on that in a couple of months.
I am currently on 100mgs of Clomid which apart from one cycle has successfully made me ovulate and I will be doing the Femara unmonitored so what dose should I use for that?
I know 2.5mgs is the lowest dose so as I am on 100mgs of clomid should I start straight on 5mgs of Femara?
What have your experiences been on either?

I did 8 Cycles with clomid, with no "O". I started seeing an RE in April and I was given Femara, 12.5mg Days 2-6. Im not sure why I started with such a high dose...but it worked the first cycle! Good Luck, I hope it does the trick for you.

i did three cycles of clomid and didnt ovulate on any of those cycles....i had terrible side effects too from it. i went to my FS and he put me on femera and i actually ovulated with it...i didnt really have any side effects and i loved it! i hope femera does the trick for you!!

I did 4 cycles with clomid 100mg CD 3-7 without monitoring (used TI). According to the opk I ovulated each time but had BFN each month. When I got referred to my fs she switched me to femara 7.5mg cd3-7 with monitoring and IUI. According to her, the 7.5mg of the femara was a step up from the 100mg dose of clomid. At my us last month, I had 2-3 good sized follicles on cd11. The cycle didn't work, but I'm remaining hopeful. Currently on cd5 of the second cycle. If this doesn't work, we're upping the dose to 12.5mg daily. Good luck to you!

Hi Kwaggy. My fs recommended increasing my dose to 12.5mg daily next round if the 7.5mg dose doesn't work this time. It makes me a little nervous for multiples since I had 2-3 good sized follicles on the 7.5mg dose. How many follicles did you get with the 12.5mg dose? Any multiplies for you? I'm so glad it worked for you on your first try though! That definitely gives me hope!

I had 5 total follies on day 12 scan, one was smaller than the others only 12mm...but the other 4 were between 18-22mm. Only one little bean for me
