Just wondering who is hiring / buying their TENS machine and which 1 to go for? I'm pretty clueless about them but my mw thoroughly recommends them - so I must get a move on (due date Monday! eeekkk!)
Thanks ladies :hugs:

I got mine from Lloyds online. I only ordered it a couple of days ago and it arrived today!

I got this one. I used it with my last labour and it got me through the first hours. I was pleased :)

I bought a lloyds own brand one for £30 - same cost as hiring one and apparently the brand makes no difference as long as it's a labour one (they all do the same thing i guess). got it from the lloyds pharmacy website :)

I had the Lloyds one and managed to get to 9cm with no other pain relief (was getting a bit much by then though). Would thoroughly recommend it xx

I ordered the Lloyds labour TENS on Wednesday and it arrived today. At £30 it is the same price as hiring one of the more expensive ones and has all the recommended features (dual channel, boost button, etc.).

Just wondering, as I'm so late ordering one (due date this Monday!) do they sell them in Lloyds Pharmacy shops on high st (so I could get one tmrw hopefully) ? Or do they only sell them online? (So I have to wait for normal postal delivery).
Thanks x

I wanted a mama tens my time - it was £40 to hire from most places but found it to buy for £53 inc delivery (came next day) from Chemist Direct (online). Can't say if it's any good yet but it has good reviews.

I got one from Lloyds pharmacy after asking my MW whether I should be getting a special type. She said to get the labour one from Lloyds as it's as good as any other. I intend to use it right from when contractions first start because apparently you are supposed to build up the endorphins by doing that, but lots of people wait until way into labour and then say the TENS didn't benefit them.

I will see anyway.

You can hire mama TENS machines at most TESCO pharmacies. I'm ordering/picking mine up on Monday when I reach 37 weeks for £27.10:)

i brought mine off ebay and loved it it got me from 2-7cm with nothing else other than staying upright last time
