When you cook and puree your veg/fruit using an electric steamer, what do you use to thin down the puree? If you boil your veg then a lot of recipes suggest that you use the water you boil them in to thin it down so I guess that still contains a lot of nutrients. But when steaming, I just use cool boiled water from a kettle. What about the rest of you?

That's what I would do, use cooled boiled water

I didn't add anything to thin them down.

But I used to blend the veg as soon as it had stopped cooking so there was still a bit of steam about!

i find it depends what i'm making, some things retain enough of their own juices other wise i'll put in a splash of normal water of milk.
