I've been using formula on my 8 month old sons weetabix and to add to mash potato etc,jus wondering what u use as I'm thinking of starting to use full fat cows milk to cooking. For those who use formula to add to mash potato is this ok to freeze e.g if I make a cottage pie

I use whole milk, although if he's just had a bottle and left some then ill pop that in too. But usually just whole milk xxx

Yep, whole milk. I've never used formula in anything. It tastes disgusting (I wish I hadn't had to feed it to my daughter anyway and we stopped using it the day she turned 1). Plus, ideally you will start to feed him normal food that you're also eating, not food you make specially just for him (or you'll drive yourself nuts with too much cooking and clean-up cooking different meals), and you probably don't want to add formula to your own food. Whole milk is a great source of fat and protein and if he's already on formula, he's used to dairy anyway so shouldn't cause any problems.
