My lg has always loved her food. Up until a week or two ago she was downing five 7oz bottles and crying when you stopped to wind her.

Now she is taking 8oz in her night feed but during the day only 4-5oz. She'll just stop sucking and mess about pushing the teat about. If I keep trying she gets annoyed.

She's down from 35oz to 30 and that's if I keep offering...

I took her to get weighed today and she's actually up a centile on weight and height, is behaving normally and doing a normal amount of nappies.

Am I being paranoid?

I actually rang the hv 2 weeks ago as my 4.5 month old did the same. Some bottles she is still only taking 3 or 4 oz. She told me its a very common age for milk intake to drop slightly. My LO is probably only averaging about 28oz a day now compared to 35 before. She said it can be result of the end of a growth spurt or teething. A few people told me to start weaning but I didn't want to yet...She still sleeps 12hrs at night and is content. So hv said definitely not a weaning sign x

mine did the same, but got it back up eventually, I think it lasted a couple weeks and was due to a common cold. Although he's never been a huge fan of milk :)

Glad to hear it's not just me. I'd rather wait till 6 months to wean so will hold off unless she starts to lose.

She had been a bit snotty sounding but she sucks her dummy ok and doesn't struggle with the first half.

I spoke to the HV when I got her weighed and she didn't seem concerned since she was gaining but I don't like her not being normal.
