What are your honest opinions on this name? I love it, I know a few Frankie's who are older and it still suits them well. Me and OH compromised on this name because he loves Frank but I don't, so with Frankie he can still use Frank as a nickname so it's a win win.

I love it, we have a Franklin, and he is mostly known as Frankie/Frank. It's a good solid name that grows with the child :)

I LOVE the name Franklin, nn. "Frankie"

When I was a teen I had a BF named Francesco, nn. Frankie. He still goes by Frankie even as an adult. It's a name I really like.

I thought Frankie was a girls name, I do like it but I wouldn't name a boy Frankie.

I don't know any girls called Frankie, only one called Francesca who uses it as a nickname! I know 4 males aged 1 month - 60 something years old with the name. It's interesting how different a name can be in different areas!

I think Drew Barrymore has a daughter called Frankie.

Ending in an 'ie' always looks feminine to me. Example - Charlie for a girl versus Charley for a boy. Jody for a boy, Jodi or Jodie for a girl.

I think of Frankie as gender neutral. I suggested it the other day (for a girl) and my hubby doesn't like it :( I like it for both though.

Franklin is super cute and I like Frankie as a nickname. :)

I like Frankie, but I wouldn't use it as a given name. I would either use Frank or Franklin (or some other extended version) and call him Frankie. Frankie works fine for a kid or as a nickname for close friends, but for a 40 year old executive? It's a bit questionable.
