Has anyone else experienced this with their LOs?

When we feed Stan he gets really frantic and manic while he's drinking from the bottle - he screams sometimes and is desperate for the food, then when he has the teat in his mouth he rushes and spits and coughs... so we stop to burp him and he goes manic again. It gets to the point where he is completely histerical and feeding becomes practically impossible. He wants the milk but won't take it... sometimes he will drink 5oz fine with no trouble at all.

Does anyone know why this may be and how we can fix it??

we are using Dr Browns no.2 teats which we started using a few weeks ago as he was falling asleep and taking his bottles too slow on no.1 teats.

All help greatly appreciated, thanks :flower:

how old is he ?sounds like colic/wind, try give him some gripewater/infacol,morgan defo did he same and he seemed to grow outa it x

Try to go back to teat 1. Maybe he doent like the rush of milk. Or maybe it's colic. Dunno, I had the same problem earlier, & it was solved after using infacol.

Is he laying quite far back when this happens? Maybe the milk is coming out too fast and going down his throat making him cough? You could try sitting him a little more upright, so he can control the flow of milk a little better?

could be wind/colic like the other girles said, gripe water & infacol are both worth a try

Niall was exactly the same turns out he was starving, I changed his formula a feew times to find something which suited him better so we've settled for C&G hungry baby milks, tonnes better & has also helped with the wind as he's not gulping at the teat all the time

xxx

My LO was the same from being born, he had a weeks stay in hospital at 6 weeks old and stopped playing up when fed. Hes 9 weeks old now and he's starting to do it again.

I've tried everything, infacol - gripe water & colief, no idea what it is !!
