Freezing meat question

I bought some chicken breasts on Friday evening planned to use them today but I dont want to anymore, would it be ok to put in the freezer now? cause I have always thought only freeze on day of purchase?

I've always frozen on the BB date, especially reduced meat! I open the packaging first to make sure it doesn't smell then freeze.

Yes it will be totally fine to freeze, but when you defrost it you will need to use it that same day (defrost in morning for evening meal).

as ladies have said, it'll be fine! loads of people i know do this with the reduced meat in supermarkets. such a good way of saving money.
