Hi there, just wondering if anyone out there has fibroids like me and is trying to concieve? We have been trying for almost two years, I am 36 years old. Im on Clomid 50mg too. Thanks x

I am sorry but I cannot tell you a fact about that. But as far as I know, it will not affect if one wants to conceive a baby. However, I will include you in my prayers.

One of my best friends has a massive fibroid but had no trouble concievng and did so the first month of trying (sooo jealous!!). She was told by her doctor that she was lucky as they can cause infertility. Do you know how large the fibroids are? can they remove them with laser surgery? what does your specialist say? sorry for all questions!!

A friend of mine just had to have her fibroids removed approx 2 weeks ago. She had 6 and 3 were the size of grapefruits and the others the size of tennis balls. The gynaw said she had to have them taken out as they would have stopped her falling pg and carrying a baby to term as her womb was the size of a 7.5 month old foetus and was pushed up into her ribcage. The good news is that now they have been taken out they think she will fall pg easily.

I don't have fribroids, but a friend of mine had many of them. She required surgery. At first she was lucky because her fibroids were not inside the uterus and as soon as they were removed things looked normal and they were pretty sure she could conceive once they were gone.

Are you having them removed or does your Dr. think they won't pose a problem. I think it depends on how many you have and where they are.

Hi there, i had fluid fibriod at both of my tubes and had surgery to remove them.
and at the end , recurrence again and i had both of my tubes removed due to the tubes was damaged badly..

and the only option for us is IVF...
i had a failed ivf cycle.. and was planned to have the FET on Apr'09 but now have to delayed again due to my company closure and i'm jobless! Arghhh!

I think u have to check with your dr and have to consider the size and location of the fibriod.

I have one fibroid inside my uterus, about 2 cm big....I have had some drs tell me i need to get it removed if I want to get preggo and others tell me to leave it alone b/c the scar tissue from the surgery is more of an issue. I have been ttc for 8 months now and nothing. I know that my tubes are clear and i am Ovulating. my dr put me on clomid to see if it will work. i am on my 2nd cycle now...I hope it will work. If it doenst then I think I will have it removed.
