From Mummy/Daddy or from Santa? & When are you putting lo's presents under the tree?

wen i was little i remember my presents always saying from santa.. and them appearing the next morning lol i remember questioning my mum as to why it was her handwriting! and she used to sy tht santa would deliver them and then she would wrap them up...


anyway to my question..

for those of you whose lil one is having their first christmas.. are you planning to write from santa or from you on their presents?!

From Santa I want my LO to believe in Santa i think it adds more exictment!! Im trying to get OH to dress up as Santa this year

yep from Santa x when Alex gets a bit older he will have them all from Santa then one from mummy and daddy.

Probably wont write anything this year but when she's older and can read she'll have 1 present from mummy and daddy and the rest will be from santa. Thats how it always was when I was young.

also are you planning on making the presents appear once she has gone to bed xmas eve?

i want oh to dress up as santa too but he thinks he might scare her

I will put tylers under the tree after he has gone to bed otherwise he will be around them all night try to get at the wrapping paper

Dont put on any labels from us or santa because she cant read and doesnt understand.

When she can do both, probably santa & us.


Presents will go under the tree, once shes a bed on xmas eve.

We never had labels on ours as kids and probably wont for Brooke, my mum always just used one kind of wrapping paper for each of us and put them out into separate piles for us ready for the morning

I might label a few when she gets a little bigger but wont this christmas

when i was little (and i do same), the stockings were from santa and the big stuff under tree was from mum/dad/sister. any gifts from friends/family go under tree when we get them, gifts from us xmas eve after kids in bed and asleep.

i also questioned why the "reply letter with mince pie" was in dads handwriting - i got told because santa used dads pen!!! i believed this for a few more yrs.

Any presents to us from other family/friends etc would go under the tree immediately, as would any presents my parents had bought for other people. But my brother's and my presents from Santa/ our parents would magically appear in the living room after we had gone to bed!

I remember having a mix of presents from my parents and Santa - hubby has joked that Santa won't get the credit for any expensive presents LOL!!!

I want my baby to believe in santa but Il put mine and OHs name on the tags and say santa makes the toys and delivers them and mommy and daddy pay santa for them!

I put little bits under the tree for them all, then the 3 youngest will get Santa things, but in our house Santa hasn't time to wrap as there are so many children so they each get a pile I even do it with the older ones still as they still want it this way, even my 19 year old The under the tree stuff is just socks, boxers, lynx sets, perfume sets, hats, gloves, make up etc; like stocking filler stuff

edit: I do wrap the under tree stuff and they're under the tree form 1st december

All the presents in our house are from Santa but this year Noah's been told we send money to Santa to pay for his presents so he might not get everything he wants this year.

We always had a mixture of mum/dad and santa gifts.
This year I'm going to wrap AJ's presents in one type of wrapping paper, when he's older I'll do the same but add tags.

Presents from others will go under the tree (if he leaves them alone!), we'll put pressies out xmas eve after bedtime.

I think most of them from us will have 'from father christmas' apart from one or two but then all the presents from family (grandparents aunts uncles etc) will be from them iykwim?

His stocking presents will be from santa and the big presents under the tree will be from mummy, daddy, nanan, grandad etc

I'm only giving her one thing for Christmas, the rest will be from Santa and her stocking will be from Santa. Everything else will be from other people. We have a HUGE family and they ALL give presents, none of this "picking a name' thing..she gets tons. I don't need to get much lol.
