hi ladies i got a letter today from the hospital. so me thinking it might be an appointment to discuss results of jessicas post mortem etc ripped it open only to find its a i'm sorry for your loss,we will contact you with an appointment when all results are in etc etc.

left me a bit deflated but in the letter it did say something along the lines off. i look forward to discussing your results with you particulary the postmortem results. so i am guessing that means they have found something while doing the postmortem otherwise she wouldnt of wrote that or am i being a tad too hopeful?

am really hoping they send me an appoimtment soon as we are away next month for 2 weeks visiting dfs family and knowing my luck it will get sent to me while we are away. x

It sounds hopeful honey! I was just reading about Jessicas funeral. :hugs: it sounded lovley.

thanks hunni. df thinks i'm putting to much hope into getting answers as to why she grew her wings but after this letter i'm even more sure of it lol.

I lost my babies on the 26th of Aug and the appiontment to discuss the PM etc wasnt until the 29th of October so you may have a few wks yet to wait. Hopefully not xxx

oh hunni so sorry for the loss of your babies.

i was told that it would take from 6-8 weeks they have all the results apart from the ones from her umbilical cord and placenta which take a bit longer to come through as they are sent to a different hospital.

sorry you had such a long wait hun must of been so hard for you having to wait so long. x

Hi

First of all, I am so sorry for your loss. Secondly, we were also told 6 - 8 weeks and in the end it was nearly exactly six weeks past the day of delivery. I only received a very basic letter from the hospital asking to call the consultant to make an appointment.

When you get your appointment, try and ascertain whether or not there will be further results after that. I walked out last June thinking it was all done and dusted, only to get a call in November saying further results had come in!!!!!! Ours was a very extreme case and this is not the norm, but just for your own peace of mind, make sure that they are giving you the final post mortem results and not the interim findings.

Sorry - I hope that hasnt scared you - just want you to be able to find some closure after such a rough time.

Chin up hon

Laura x

thanks laura thats good to know and when i see the consultant i shall ask her if its all the results or not.

it must of been hard for you thinking that you had closure to then be called again a few months later with more results. i feel i cant fully be at peace til these results come in as i want to know why after 2 healthy girls i lost my 3rd baby daughter (though 2 early losses in between).

hope your well and am sorry for the loss of your baby too. x

Babytots also try and write down any questions you have when i walked into the office to get my results my mind went blank and couldnt think of anything to say.
If you jot them down as you think of them it may make it a bit easier once there.

Good luck xx

thanks hunni i will be doing. my mind tends to go blank with things like this too lol.after i had jessica and went home there were a few questions i didnt ask the midwife so had to ring and ask them dont want to be doing that with the consultant lol. x

Thought I'd stop by with some much needed  for you. Hope that you aren't waiting too long before hearing about Jessica's test results and that they are able to give you some helpful answers. So sorry for your loss hun. She has such a strong Mom; Jessica would be proud of you. xox

thanks hunni. thats so sweet of you to say. i'm only strong because i have to be if my girls werent here i would be a broken woman i stay strong for their sakes.

hope your well hunni. x
