Well my appointment is tomorrow, does anyone have any advice on what to ask? How to prevent being fobbed off? XXX

Hi Hun,

I don't have any real advice as I haven't had an FS appointment before. But I wanted to wish you good luck and if you have any questions then make a list and take them with you to your appointment. That way you won't kick yourself for forgetting to ask something while your there ....

:hugs: X

Hey Chick

Good luck for tomorrow.

Not sure what questions you would want to ask but if it were me then i would want to know...
1. what tests would they be doing and over what time frame
2. what treatment would be available
3. long term/short term prognosis

What fertility issue did you have again chick (sorry, brain like a seive today!) x

Thanks i'm gonna right all them down on my list  i have a luteal phase defect. XXX

I personally think, after being fobbed off at two appts that it really doesn't matter what you say etc re: being fobbed off, they have their own agenda and depending on the money available in your PCT you'll either get treatment quicker or slower. I hope you do get some answers though hun, or at least some more tests. I wanted an internal examination/lap/dye . . anything . . but thats what i attempted to ask for x

Lots of luck Sweetie.

my only advice is don't let them turn the other cheek without a fight.
Be firm in your speech, tell them you've been TTC longer than you have
(doesn't matter how long, just add 6 or so months to it). And throw
some tests names or medications around, so he knows that you have done
your research....I mentioned Clomid and PCOS to my Gyno even before
he had a chance to say it...took him by surprise.

So just got back from the FS, she was wonderful. I'm having a Hysterolsalpinogram (SALP) dont next cycle to check my tubes. Then my next appointment is on the 21st November, where i get clomid. It couldn't have gone any better, i didn't need to argue my side, or anything. She mentioned progesterone, but she said there is no proof of it working, and clomid is the best. She also said that DH SA is perfect :happydance: So i have to finish this cycle and next and then i get clomid, i worked out i should start clomid the last weel in November, so bring on my bestest christmas present ever a :bfp: :happydance: XXX

Hey Daisy

Awesome news - really pleased it went well! Just think, you could be off the vino in time for Christmas and stroking your belly before you know it! hurrah! xx

Yippee!! Glad all went well hun. I wonder if there is a difference in care at the first appointment due to whether you're seen by a man or a woman. I think women understand the emotional side better than men. Although having said that, the best smear I've ever had was done my a man...

Hmmm - off to try and work that one out!!

Aww well done Daisyduke, glad to hear it all went well for you x BFP here you come!!!

Thanks girls can't wait to have my little bun cooking in the oven. XXX

Glad it went well, here's to a Christmas :bfp: for you X
