FTM. Baby bump has dropped, does this mean the baby will come soon?

I dropped a couple days ago and can now feel the baby's head right where my pubic bone starts. It's quite uncomfortable and painful at times. Does this mean LO is coming soon? I'm 36 weeks and 3 days pregnant

No unfortunately not. My dd did the same around that time. They are getting ready but it is no sign of labour to come soon. Sorry, wished I could say yes

No I'm afraid it doesnt mean much, other than you might be feeling bit more comfortable.

You can drop weeks in advance or not at all till labour! Its no guarantee of anything I'm afraid

It can be an indication but I dropped early and had LO 10 days late so it's not a sure thing. I did drop a little more in the last few days, even though I thought it wasn't possible for my bump to get lower, lol.

I dropped around 32 weeks with my 1st, he was born 1 hr 45 minutes before due date. So no it doesn't necessarily mean bub will come early.
My DS had very squashed ears though lol!

Afraid not, DD stuck around for a good 5 weeks after I dropped.
