I ordered two maternity t-shirts from CafePress awhile ago now. Received both, and while they fit well, they were NOT printed properly! The designs weren't placed over my bump, where they should be, but rather between my belly and chest. One shirt is black with white hand and footprints on it, and the hand prints fall on my boobs! OH says it looks like the baby is groping me. :haha:

I e-mailed customer service, and to be fair, they sent me a replacement at no charge for the black one (the other shirt, besides being too high, was also very pixelated and blurry, so they just refunded that one). Well, they mixed up and sent replacements for both of them - and both are printed even higher! :dohh:

At least they refunded me and let me keep the shirts so I don't have to pay shipping to return them (though what I'm going to do with them I have no idea! Guess I can wear them for painting or something....). But I'm still disappointed. I really want a few cute maternity t-shirts to wear with an over-the-bump design, and there's just nothing locally!

oh thats horrible!, what i do for my fun cute maternity shirts is i bought a pack of transfer paper for my printer, and i make my own, i get plain shirts i like than print out my own designs and iron them on myself, its alot cheaper and that way you get the placement you want. just a suggestion

Thats a bit rubbish :( I agree with livebychance, thats the exact same thing that I do :) Have made some really cute t-shirts so far, someone asked me where I got one last week, and I have had to make her one too!! lol xx

I was thinking of trying that, but I'm not sure where to find good plain maternity t-shirts here, either.

oh great! i ordered from cafepress a few days ago lol

I was just at Old Navy the other day and they weren't called maternity shirts, but they have loose long sleeve kind of like the style you ordered & tee shirts, the tees are 2 for 10 right now! i picked up a few, i'm not too big yet but my friend who was also pregnant a year ago said they stretch with you!

Aww that stinks! My mom sent me some from there and it fits ok. Baby on a surfboard! Weeee

I shop at old navy also they have nice things. I don't know if you have a Pink Zone where you live but i think you can order online. All their yoga pants and tank tops are extremely cheap and stretchy which is good for growing bellies. Bold plain colors would make a nice shirt for printing also.

that sucks i was going to order that tee shirt from them there expensive and it so seems like a rip off now :(

I've gotten another shirt from them now (I placed a second order just before the 1st one arrived, had a good coupon!) and it's printed where it should be. But, I also ordered 2 baby onesies, and on one of them the design is printed off center! I think their quality control is just crap. :p It's like they put them through the printer and don't even check them before they send them out.

I've ordered a few things from there - shirt for William, mugs, magnets etc and all been great, shame you had bad experience :-(

Thats horrible. I wanted that shirt- So cute (when little hands aren't on your Boobs).. I never thought of doing it myself. What a Great idea..
Just wear those ruined shirts to bed.. All my p.j tops are too small now and I think my hubby is tired of having no clean t-shirts because I am always stealing his to wear to bed...

Thanks for mentioning that! I got a couple t-shirts at Old Navy a while ago, but didn't know about the sale. Got a few more, AND they finally got some new maternity wear in, so got a cute tank top as well. :flower:

I'm thinking I might try getting fabric paint and doing my own hand anf footprint shirt on one of them. I've done a computer transfer shirt before, and it doesn't seem to hold up well at all on stretchy fabric (also can't print in white!)

I may end up doing that! They'll also be fine for "around the house" wear. We have a hobby farm, so invariably anything I wear when I'm staying at home just ends up filthy. :haha: Of course, the black ones are too hot for wrorkign outside right now!

I should mention this was cafepress.ca... I don't know if they have different printing facilities in differnt countries - maybe the US and/or UK sites have better quality control.
