My due date was August 2nd but the week before I had been in the maternity ward 3 times with false labor. So on July 31st I went and saw my doctor for my 40 week appointment. She was going to try to get me in for an induction the next day but they didnt have any room available. So she swept my membranes really well and told me to go to the Maternity ward in the morning and tell them I was cramping and since she was the one on call she would tell them to keep me and induce me. Well apparently she did a really good job on my sweep cause right after I left the office I was having intense contractions. I was afraid to go back in and it just be false labor again so I took my ex took me to the mall with our daughter so I could walk around and get things going.
After I got my much need pretzel and cheese I was in so much pain I could barely walk. So he ran me home and dropped off our oldest daughter and took me into the hospital. They immediately hooked me up to my IV and took me to labor and delivery. I was 6cm dilated and it was around 430pm. They gave me my epidural 30 minute after I got there and I was pain free from then on. Around 8 they decided to go ahead and break my waters by 9pm I was 9cm dilated. They waited another 30 minutes and then had me start pushing. I had her by 10pm and she was 7lbs 4oz and 19 inches long. Blonde hair and blue eyed.
My girls get along very well and Lilly loves being a big sister!
