is that a lot?! i was around 51 kg pre pregnancy and 58.3 now at 20 weeks. a lot of people seem to have gained a lot less than me and im getting a bit nervous

my doctor said its not anything to worry about *yet* but that i might want to start thinking about reducing carbohydrates. any chance my weight might plateau off a bit instead of steadily gainign at this rate?

Thats alot ... I only gained 3 kilo and I was 47 kilo before gettin pregnant but im petite so maybe that's it

Try not to worry to much as long as you are being healthy, eating the right things, drinking plenty and taking advice from the right people you can't do much more. Is it your first baby? I am expecting my 2nd and gained/shown quicker this time round but things have started slowing down now and I just look how I did last time round at this time (with a nice big bump and big boobs ).

Everyone is different so don't be upset by those who crack on about how little they have put one the main thing is you and bubs are healthy.

xxx

I've gained 20 lbs by 15 weeks!! That's a lot, and I was worried but another Mom just gave me good advice on the matter. She told me that once we get further along, we're gonna need this extra reserve for when we won't feel like eating much later due to the baby taking up all space. Just try to eat healthy, but if your anything like me, carbs are all I want to eat. It's hard, but just remain mindful of what you eat. I've increased my fiber intake slowly to help buffer the carbs from being broken down to sugar so fast.

Everyone is different so don't worry.

I have gained about 10lbs now. I gained almost three stone with my son and had lost it all within two months.

yes it's my first baby!! hopefully weight gain will slow down from now on!

I went from 53kgs on my 8 week apointment to 57kgs 4 weeks later... I have since put more on but it doesnt look it, i have not alot of fluid either from scans so must all be baby

I gained the same! and im not even 20 weeks lol.

its high but you could never tell! i happen to hold onto a lot of fluid in my entire body! once i deliver it seriously sheds right off and i am back to my pre pregnancy weight within 2-3 weeks... for some reason my body loves water when pregnant.

I'm afraid baby only weighs about 1lb at 20-22 weeks so it won't be all baby BUT it is all part of pregnancy and completely normal, 4kg is about 8lb.

I've went from 75kg pre preg to 82kg at 23 weeks. I'm hoping I stop gaining now for a while! x

I gained that with all mine.......actually around 20 lbs at 20 weeks. Baby 1 and 2 lost all my weight by 4 months. Baby 3 took a little longer, but I was older!

PLEASE don't spend another minute worrying about it! Enjoy your pregnancy...I have learned that our bodies know what we they are doing and as long as you are not eating fast food every night you will be fine!

I'm carrying twins and gained 20lbs at 25 weeks so far- but still have at least 8 lbs more to gain in pure baby weight. 5 of those lbs were this past 3 weeks alone... Lol

Don't worry about it hun, your body holds water , then there is more blood volume , placenta etc..

And ur weight gain could slow down now but you'll lose it .
I had a huge bump with my son but didn't weigh myself til my sonw as 6 weeks old & I was almost bk to my pre pregnancy weight.
This time I'm worried about getting fat as I've struggled with my weight after having my son!
I've lost 1 stone 7lb due to sickness bt now I'm eating like a pig and had gained 1lb back the last time I weighed myself.
Try not to worry. Eevry1 is differnet . X

I would pay more attention to what I was eating and cut back on the carbs like you mentioned. I gained 3 lbs at my 16 week appointment and when I was looking into how average this was, it seemed many people had gained the same amount.

However, if your doctor said it's not an issue yet, I would follow their advice. Good luck!!

I've gained 17 pounds at 25 weeks. It seems high, but obviously my body needed it. I'm small girl, and almost underweight pre pregnancy. With my son I only gained 20lbs by the END but I was 20 pounds heavier pre pregnancy that time around! I don't care what anyone says. I've cut junk foods, sweets, walked 2-4 miles a day everyday and still gained the same amount of weight. I'm pretty sure I will be the same weight the day I give birth as I was with my son. But I lost all that weight and 20lbs more nursing him.
