For about the past week or 2 my almost 6 week old has been really struggling with what I think is gas??
After feeds her tummy rumbles like crazy even though she has burped lots, she is breastfed using nipple shields but I have overactive milk which I know can cause them to swallow a lot of air so I burp her at least every 5 mins, she only really feeds for 15 minutes
In the night when she is asleep she spends at least half an hour before she wakes up grunting and making noises, when she does wake her cry is kind of pained like the gas is really troubling her
When I am holding her and her tummy rumbles she stiffens up like that has hurt her
We have tried massage, sitting upright during/after feeds, expressing before feeding till after let down, gripe water and infacol but still struggling a lot with it, shall I take her to the doctors? Is there anything else anyone recommends?
