My dd is 4 weeks on friday! We have struggled with wind since day 1! We started on avent bottles and was taking for ever to drink a oz kept falling asleep. We bought dr browna bottles and she seemed better taking more milk and not falling asleep as much! She seems to be getting worse again, falling asleep on the bottle taking ages to get her wind up. She does lots of big burps but can take up to a hour half to feed her as she will eventually get all her wind up and realise she is still hungry. she also does not stop trumping! I don't know if i should try change her milk she is currently on aptamil! We are using infacol! I just dont know what to do feel like i am constantly feeding her! Tried ringing the health visitor but they haven't rung me back!

Is the aptamil leaving debris in the bottle? I had a bad time with ds on aptamil as it wasn't mixing properly and found the debris was blocking the teat so he'd be sucking away but getting nothing but frustrated, tired and windy.

It does sometimes but havent noticed it blocking the teat! Did u switch or just make sure it mixed properly?

I switched in the end. I tried everything, including a sterilised spoon to stir, and the only way I could mix it was to violently shake the bottle (which is hard with dr browns bottles, they leak when milk is hot so need to use the closing caps), which gives baby more gas and still left some debris... On hipp now and ds is doing so much better milk quantity and frustration wise though still windy.

I have been looking at hipp. Managed to speak to hv and she said it's worth trying a different milk to see if it helps! Feel bad for my 2 half yr old as i am always sat with abbie either feeding her or trying to get her wind up!
