Little background on me.
I am a 27 year old administrative professional with no major (known) health issues. I have an iron deficiency that I manage with prenatal vitamines (even before we started trying) and my iron levels have been stable for almost 6 months now. My heaviest (recorded) weight was 320lbs back in 2011. Today I weigh 168lbs after having gastric sleeve surgery in April of 2014. My now husband and I waited 2 years post op to "pull the goalie" and start trying to conceive. My husband does not have any known fertility issues and already has a child (6.5) from a previous relationship.
This past week we went on our honeymoon (which just to happened to land on my fertile days! and we had sex everyday for 2 weeks) and 5 days after my expected ovulation date. I had extreme cramping and diarrhea. I have been completely regular with mild cramping around my ovulation for years, but this was something else. Almost crippling. Its been 5 days and although the diarrhea has subsided (but still irregular bowels for me) I still have slight cramping throughout the day.
I know that it is probably to early to do any testing as my period is still not expected for 8 more days, but just curious if there is anyone who has had gastric sleeve surgery who has gotten pregnancy post op with similar symptoms. We have been trying for 7 months and am starting to slowly lose my mind at it not happening. I know that there is a high chance that it could just be from the food/drink from our honeymoon ... but i have gone on trips just like it and never felt anything like this.
I am having blood work done today and see my doctor on Friday. Just looking for some advice in the mean time to ease my wondering mind. The self diagnosis on Google is starting to worry me haha.
