My son has been prescribed gaviscon to combat his reflux and to hopefully allow him gain weight properly (he has dropped from 75th percentile to just under the 2nd in 9 1/2 weeks)
Was wanting some advice from mums who have used it while breastfeeding.
How did you give it to them? In expressed milk? Formula? Water?
Did they get constipated or is that only formula fed babies?
Did you give it on every single feed?
And finally. ..did it help?
Thanks

It helped us a tiny bit. Not loads through. I know some people who it rely helped though.

We gave it by mixing with a tiny amount (5ml) of water and using a dentinox syringe.

Thank you! Did your little one get constipated on it? It's my main worry at the moment - causing him more/different pain and still not fixing the problem! X

Not constipated, no. Her poos got a little firmer but nothing worrying.
