My DS2 is 4 months old and absolutely refuses to sleep on his own. If he's not being held or nursing then he rarely sleeps--even though he's very tired!

This means I haven't found a way to get him to nap. He takes a couple of short (10 - 20 minutes) throughout the day but never at reliable times and he's clearly overtired a lot of the rest of the time.

Putting him in bed awake results in hysterical crying. Putting him down after he falls asleep results in him waking up and hysterical crying. If I want to guarantee he has a nap then I have to sleep next to him...

Any suggestions???

Unless she Falls asleep nursing then the only way that Freya will nap is being put in the pram and rocked for a few minutes until sleeping. Once she's sleeping I drape a Blanket over the hood so it's darker with gaps at the side for air obviously. It's the only way I can get her to nap longer than ten minutes.

Worth a try maybe.

Would he nap in a wrap or carrier maybe? That way you could continue going about your day while he sleeps on you.
