she wants to eat so I feed her... she refuses to burp part way through because she is still hungry so she roots and cries while I try to burp her, but then when I go to feed her more she is uncomfortable because she has trapped air because she didn't burp and cries while eating!!

then half the time she won't burp after no matter how much I try. so I have to sit with her upright for a long time, and even then she sometimes pukes when I lay her down!

This all gets very tiring esp during the night and esp when I have postpartum depression and all I want to do is scream!!!!!

Don't know what to say except sorry you are feeling frustrated! sometimes Reagan has a hard time with wind too and I have to rub her back up and down and when that doesn't work lay her accross my lap tummy down and rub and pat her back that way. Maybe one of those could work? hope you feel better soon big hugs!

When Lucas was tiny I used to stop the feed halfway through to wind him and then continue but tbh it took so long he would just get frustrated. So I stopped doing it and just fed him the whole bottle and winded at the end, it made things easier x

I also did the same. Whole bottle then winding. Makes life much easier

I'm going through this stress with my LO
I can't get her to bring the wind up so she won't drink because she's uncomfortable, but cries at the same time because she's hungry!
it's taking me over an hour to feed her. I'm going to buy Dr Brown bottles to see if it helps with the wind.

I have to give LO the whole bottle and then wind her afterwards otherwise she gets so worked up that it's really difficult to get her back on her feed. I go for a bit of a bouncy walk with her and that almost always brings it up!

I had the same problem with my LO, she just didn't want to wind and she was sick every other day. It's horrible and I ended up spending the first hour of her sleep watching over her in case she was sick when I lay her back down. I've found that not interrupting her feed to wind works wonders. Summer lets me know when she has wind because her sucking slows down or she lets the milk dribble out the side of her mouth. Now we wind usually once during and once after and she gives lots of wind both times. And she's rarely sick. You could try looking at a baby website. I think it was baby center which gave me lots of help of positions etc. Good Luck finding something which works, I know how horrible it is watching them be sick :( xx

does she have a dummy?? If so try putting dummy in her mouth when you are winding her between feeding

Same here! Evie just wont drink the rest of the bottle if we stop half way now - she's a "gotta drink the lot now" kinda girl ;)
