getting tired of constant yelling

It seems like I'm always trying to get Violet to stop yelling. She's always so loud and it hurts my ears. That is except for the car where I have to tell her to speak up. Does your kid yell a lot? I model talking quiet and ask her to stop yelling, but lately she can't maintain it for a reasonable length of time. And why is she so quiet in the car?

Of my gosh, Finn is like this! Not so much the car thing, but he's so loud in the house. He will run around and just shout. Not even words. It's so hard to concentrate. Dh and I can barely have a conversation. If we ask him to stop he just laughs and keeps going.

I'm trying to teach him that when someone is talking he needs to be quiet so everyone can hear. It's not going well. Haha! Dh keeps joking "who ordered the loud kid?" I'm a very quite person and prefer quiet things. Dh is much more outgoing and loves loud things. I blame him! Haha!

Finn is getting drums for his next birthday. I'm taking munchkin and moving out!

Yep, my dd shouts all the time since ds arrived. And then is quiet in the car.

No idea what the car thing is about, but for us at least, I think she's trying to be heard. Especially now she's not centre of attention.

I'm hoping it's a phase!!!

I forget what it is called, but theres something that happens in our heads to help regulate gow loud we speak, and kids don't have it. I wish I could remember what it was! Something to do with the inner voice in our head. There is a vsauce vid on youtube that mentions it I think.

DS2 is a shouter. Not constantly, he can be quiet and is always quiet when there are other people around. But when he's talking to me he's often yelling and I'm only a few feet away! When he's on a yelling streak, reminding him to use his quiet voice never works. Both DS1 and DS2 will yell at us when they're trying to tell us something and OH and I are trying to have a conversation with each other. Sometimes I think they wait for OH and I to start talking to each other so they can interrupt us
