We have a daughter called Elsie, and if #3 turns out to be another girl, we are toying with the idea of another E name. These are the names I like so far:

Edith/Edie
Erin
Eliza (too similar?)
Esme
Eabha
Evelyn

Which do you think is the nicest (middle name would probably be Grace) with Seth and Elsie as siblings, and are there any others you can think of along similar lines to these (I don't like anything too 'Americanised' - Everleigh, Emerson etc)

How about Effy?
Out of the list of names I like Evelyn the best.

Of your names I love Edie (Edith) and Esme.

Also:

Evangeline
Estelle
Elodie

You could go with Elizabeth (Elizabeth Grace sounds really pretty). There are SO many nicknames for Elizabeth, so you don't have to worry about it sounding too much like Elsie.

I could be biased since my full name is Elizabeth, but I go by Libby :)

From your list I like Edith/Edie and Evelyn the best. :)

My personal favourite E names are Etta, Emilia, and Effie.

What about Elodie Grace?

Friends just named their LO Everly and Ellie as a nn.

I like Esmé but then I am biased because that is my dd's name. Also like Edith from your list.

Thanks for your suggestions. I do like Effie but I think it is too similar to Elsie. It's completely different, but has the same sort of feel to it, if that makes sense?

I think I'm swaying towards Edith Grace.

Edith Grace sounds absolutely beautiful. :) Personally, though, I would go with Evelyn.

Evie

From your list I like Erin and Edie.

Love the name Elsie! One of my favourites if this one is a girl!

What about Elaine? Classic and not at all common. Or Eloise?

I love Edith. It is classic and very pretty. For me I think it might be too close to Elsie, though if you want to call her Edie.

From your list I like Erin, Evelyn and Edith.

What about Elinor?

Good luck!

Edit: and another one came to mind: Emmeline.

I'm not entirely sure whether we'd refer to her as Edith or Edie, but I like both and it's there as an option, even if she just chose to use it with her friends when it wouldn't always be said as part of a sibset.

It's probably a boy anyway!

That is very true! When you are on these boards/in baby groups you start to think of siblings matching/not matching/matching too much... But of course they are very much their own people apart from any brothers and sisters :flower:

Edith is beautiful, and Edie is a lovely nickname. If you like it, go for it!
