Girls, I am just so thrilled!

I finally got a hold of a midwife I've been emailing, she's super sweet. Going to meet Monday for a consultation. I'm panicky about my 3 losses, and especially about the most recent. She has a U/S machine in office, and she will do a *free* scan every week if I want until its clear my little one is doing well! Just for my peace of mind. She's also flexible on payment--which is huge because our insurance doesn't cover maternity.

I had wanted a home birth, but she can't travel out this far (it's about a 40 minute drive). So if all goes well I'll be birthing in a suite rather than hospital.

Thats fab - and it is lovely (not only from the not paying side) but the fact that she understands how stressed you will be and is doing this to elivate your stress. The fact you don't have the stress of paying for it too is brilliant.

Sometimes in life people do really kind things, and it restores your faith in human nature.

I am so grateful that she offered this, I can't express it. She has a small u/s in her office, I'm sure I will have to pay for at least one "big" scan by a radiologist, but its nice that I can check on the baby if I'm worried!
