Hello Ladies,

For those who have used a fertility clinic, have you submitted feedback to the HFEA? This feedback is critical to improving services and is considered quite seriously in re-licensing of the facilities.

You can access the licensing reports for most clinics on their website, which include success rates, safety (risk rate), 'needs improvement' areas, and other interesting policy information. For example, clinics are being pressured to lower rates of multiple pregnancies, which is leading to some stricter policies on returning 1 embryo versus 2 (or more). These policies are resulting in a lower success rate for 'fresh' embryos, but an improved success rate for 'frozen' embryos.

Note: I am not affiliated with the HFEA or any clinic at all, but I do believe quite firmly that feedback is a critical part of improving patient outcomes.

We're still on the waiting list to start our IVF cycle but it is definitely something i would do post-treatment.

I gave feedback to my clinic on an anonymous basis. The questions they asked were the ones you've highlighted. I guess it's something they're doing independently with an eye on the requirements set out by the HFEA. Perhaps when I finally get my sticky I'll consider completing the HFEA one as well.
