Where to begin? We lost our daughter, conceived via IVF, at 23 weeks due to a placental clot that went un-noticed in January. We tried for 4 years previously without success.
After getting my cycle back we decided to try again and we're scheduled to start a frozen cycle when my next af was due which was approx 17th May. I tested on the 17th and had a few BFP's and a few BFN's using different tests. 3 days later all brands were BFP.
I've been having side pain so we were referred to the EPU for a scan in case it was ectopic. I had the scan this morning and the dates are off.
According to the NHS I'm 7,5 (using lmp). I know this is wrong because my cycle is roughly 35 days plus or minus a day or so. According to my best guess based on ovulation mucus (since we didn't think we could conceive I wasn't charting) I would be anywhere from 6,2 to 6,5. The scan has me at 5 weeks but there was a visible heartbeat and thankfully everything is where it should be.
I am now very worried that the scan showed such a difference in dates. I know it's plus or minus a week, but that still doesn't match my dates. The sonographer and midwife seem supremely unworried and don't even want to see me again. Am I worrying over nothing? I'm not sure how accurate these scans are this early.
Edit- forgot to add, I'm throwing up like a champ (twice so far today) and have no worrying symptoms aside from the unexplained side pain.
