Got really confused at my ultrasound.....

Hey all.

So I had an ultrasound at 11+3. Because of a mix-up with my insurance, they ended up sending me to the ER to be scanned. About 5 seconds into the ultrasound, the technician gasped and said "omg, I think I can tell the gender!! Do you want to know?" I said "YES!" and she said "boy!" She went on and on about how you can clearly see the nub poking out from every single angle and I could clearly see it also. I was really excited and had already been thinking boy so I really got it into my head that it was a boy.....

Then, I kinda remembered everything I learned about nubs.....boys and girls should look similar at 11 weeks....In one pic, the nub seems to be pointed down, which would indicate girl....and finally, this ultrasound tech was from the emergency room. She didn't specialize in babies at all and who even knows how many babies she saw on a regular basis......Oh, and she gave me two potty shots and I've heard you shouldn't even rely on potty shots at 11 weeks.

Skull theory, nub theory and ramzi theory that the other thread talks about say girl to me. Now I'm so confused. I even bought a boy sleeper, something I never did with my other 2 unless gender was confirmed.

I thought 11 weeks was too early too but the first pic of the nub looks rather boy to me!

Nun does look boyish but is really early to say!

11 weeks is too early because the nub is still on the rise. Potty shot unreliable as well.
Looks like girl for now but by 13 weeks it could have risen. Can't wait to hear an update if you find out the gender

I wouldn't take it seriously. 11 weeks is way too early to get an accurate answer

I'll say 60/40 boy. Just cause I do see stacking on nub and one of your potty shots does look promising. But its so early!

It could well be a boy but its still 50/50 atm, the hormone which starts the changes on the genital area doesn't start til the 11th week which is why the best time to catch it is on the 13th week as it has started and done its thing in that two weeks, can you sneak back in at 13 weeks?? I would love to see who's in there now lol
