My baby is formula fed and has always had the mustard coloured poo. He's not been well this week with a cough and cold although seems ok in himself and is feeding and sleeping fine. I had his cough checked out at the doctors on Monday and his chest in clear.
What could cause the colour change?

Here's a photo - it's like a olive green colour

Ryan's poo changes between the two colours all the time! I don't get it as he's only ever had formula. Maybe it's just his gut maturing ? But I'm not sure really.

Hope someone else can be more helpful!x

Same thing with my baby. Either of those diapers look like they could belong to him. His are green though the majority of the time and only sometimes yellow, usually when his poop is a bit more runny.

You say he's got a bit of a cough and cold, is he snotty?

When my guy gets all snotty his nappies go totally gross, all slimey, smelly and funny colours

See how he is in a few days and hopefully it'll settle back down

My DD had green poo for a number of weeks when she was born. From looking it up online, viruses can be a common cause.

If he's swallowing snot and mucous, which is often greenish-yellow when you have an infection such as a cold, it can totally make poop that colour.

Even just extra saliva still messes with my LO's poop and she's heading for 19 months. She used to get horrible runny green poop, with little dark green bits in, like wilted spinach when she was teething! Now it just goes greenish and has a really sick smell to it.

In the early days, it always changed back to yellow in the end, until the next episode of whatever!

I think we only notice so much since we get so close to our babies' bottoms. If you examined your own product while you were ill lol, it probably wouldn't look normal either.
